In its ten years of existence, The Westchester Biennial exhibition has come to be known as the quintessential art show for the county of Westchester. For 2006, jurors Kathleen Gilrain, D. Dominick Lombardi and Mary Murray selected some twenty artists. From this field, D. Dominick Lombardi narrowed it to six, awarding Liz Surbeck Biddle, Michael Biddle, Gail V. Biederman, Leslie Lew, Monica Rathke and Juliet Seignious the first Roger Smith Arts Award - an exhibition at the lab gallery in New York City.
